The
Global Studies Association (GSA) invites scholars from all relevant disciplines
to submit papers to its second annual conference. The theme - broadly
defined - is 'Global Ethics and Civil Society'. Suggested streams include:
v Theorising
Ethics and Civil Society
v Civil Society and Nation-Building
v Business Ethics and Transnational Corporate Practices
v War, Peace and the Global Political Community
v Citizenship in an Era of Globalization
v Refugees and Global Social Exclusion
v Media, Communications and Global Civil Society
v Ethics, Bodies and Healthcare
v Global Social Movements
Abstracts
are also welcome from scholars wishing to submit papers on other fields
within global studies. The Global Studies Association is committed to
interdisciplinarity and seeks to ensure that its conferences and membership
reflect that commitment. Features include:
· GSA Presidential Address: Professor Roland Robertson
· Conference Plenary Address: Professor Bhikhu Parekh
· round table discussion on anti-globalization protest groups.
